地球儀ちきゅうぎ

経度けいど と 経線けいせん  Longitude and Meridian

地球上ちきゅうじょう　の　位置いち　を　あらわす　ために、①北極ほっきょく　と　②南極なんきょく　を　むすんだ　線せんを　（③　経線けいせん　）　と　いいます。
To indicate a location on Earth, the line connecting the ①North Pole and ②South Pole is called a (③meridian[longitude line]).

経線けいせん　は　（　経度けいど　）を　あらわします。
This line[meridian] represents longitude.

本初子午線ほんしょしごせんと時差じさ　Prime Meridian and Time Difference

経度けいど0度ど　で、イギリス　の　➍ロンドン　を　通とおる　経線けいせん　を　（⑤　本初ほんしょ 子午線しごせん　）と　いいます。
The meridian passing through ➍London, England at a longitude of 0 degrees is called the (⑤Prime Meridian).

1時間じかん　の　時差じさ　は、（　経度けいど15度ど　）に　あたり　ます。
A one-hour time difference corresponds to a 15-degree difference in longitude.

時差じさ　に　よる　ずれ　を　調整ちょうせいする　ため　に、経度けいど180度ど　の　場所ばしょ　に　ひか　れ　た　線せん　を　（⑥　日付ひづけ 変更へんこう 線せん　）と　いいます。
To adjust for the time difference, the (⑥International Date Line) is drawn at the location of longitude 180 degrees.

緯度いどと緯線いせん Latitude and Parallels

経線けいせん　と　直角ちょっかく　に　交まじわる　線せん　を　（⑦ 　緯線いせん　）と　いいます。
The line of latitude that intersects a meridian (longitude line) at a right angle is called a (⑦parallel)[ line of latitude/circle of latitude]].

緯線いせん　は（　緯度いど　）を　あらわします。
This line[parallel] represents latitude.

緯度いど0度ど　の　線せん　を　（⑧　赤道せきどう　）と　いいます。
The line of latitude at 0 degrees is called the (⑧equator).

赤道せきどう　に　よって 地球ちきゅう は、（➒　北半球きたはんきゅう　）と（➓　南半球みなみはんきゅう　）に　わけられ　ます。
The equator divides the Earth into the (➒Northern Hemisphere) and the (➓Southern Hemisphere).
